Teaching Aims
1. Learn some words about describing goldfish.
2. Find the specific information by listening to the talk on goldfish.
Step 1. Revision and lead in
1. Play a guessing game. Make sure the students can remember the names of different animals.
2. Present some new words using pictures.
3. Read aloud these new words.
Step 2. Listening
1. Listen to a talk and help Peter check if the notes are T (true) or F(false).
2. Listen to the talk again and complete the A2 on Page 99.
3. Complete A 3 on page 100 with the help of the information on page 99.
4. Read the conversation and explain some language points.
Step 3. Presentation
1. Discuss in groups: How to look after goldfish? Lead in Speak up.
2. Listen and answer: Whose pet is this?
3. Read and answer some questions.
4. Pair work: Talk about your favourite pets and how to look after them.
Step 4. Animals are our friends, we should look after them.
Step 5. Exercises
